Rev. Ingrid Wengert

Pastor Wengert began serving Saint Matthew Lutheran Church, Moorestown NJ in December of 2005. She has a B.S. in Business from Arizona State University and an M.Div from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia.

Her first call was to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Marlton, NJ as Associate Pastor and her second call was to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Teaneck, NJ. She serves on committees for the New Jersey Synod (comprising all of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America congregations in New Jersey) - the Anti-Racism task force, the Conference on Congregational Ministries, and the Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual task force.

Outside of work, she enjoys entertaining friends, reading, bicycling, hiking, bird watching, reading, dabbling at arts & crafts projects, and traveling with her husband. She is married to Timothy J. Wengert, who teaches Reformation History at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia.
